SGA founder Stephen S. Graham P. Eng has been immersed in sustainable energy projects for more than 25 years. A professional engineer, Stephen also holds a graduate degree in Environmental Studies.

Stephen’s personal expertise combines engineering with social science capabilities. He has extensive international knowledge as an energy planner for governments – including three years to the Government of Nepal – and as a rural electrification master planner in both the Philippines and Vietnam.

Stephen Graham is very familiar with anthropogenic causes of climate change. He has helped to establish the Canadian greenhouse gas emission inventory and response measures. Stephen has broad experience with international development issues, having worked in over 15 developing countries.

Stephen is skilled at energy project feasibility analysis. He has a wide range of experience analysing conventional and renewable energy, as well as energy efficiency technologies, both in Canada and in developing countries. He combines analytic skills for data research and technical analysis with micro financial/economic evaluation.

He has designed and managed social research surveys in both Canada and the developing world. An excellent communicator, he excels in public participation and facilitation, workshop presentations and report preparation.

Stephen Graham is a conceptual thinker with extensive policy and program development experience, particularly in environment, development and energy. A skilled manager, he emphasizes sensitivity within a team-building approach, focusing on achieving project goals. He has experience as senior executive and manager in consulting firms and international development projects.
