A GHG Inventory and Control Strategy for Beijing - China (1993)

Clients: the People's Republic of China - State Science and Technology Commission and Environment Canada.

SGA collaborated with the Beijing Environmental Monitoring Centre to develop an inventory of GHG for the municipality. The Inventory will be used as a model for similar efforts throughout China. The project also explored forecasting techniques and mitigation options and concluded with the recommendation of a set of CO2 reduction options. Transfer of techniques for economic assessment of emission reduction technology and forecasts of impacts were also undertaken.
