Prefeasibility Analysis of Three Small Hydro Projects - Sierra Leone

Clients: Canadian International Development Agency (CIDA) and Ministry of Development and Economic Planning, Sierra Leone.

Projects ranged from a 500 kW isolated site to a 70 MW grid connected site. The comparative costs of hydroelectric and diesel power were analysed with the levellized costs of diesel generation taken as the base. In the case of isolated grid sites diesel hybrid configurations were considered to supply secure generation.
